The Lord will make up for the bad times. He will restore!!!
Prayer has to be both “Fervent and Effective” to work – James 5:16.
Story 1:
Do you know Jacob served Laban for 20 years and got nothing until God had mercy on him? – Gen 31:41.
In the daytime, the sun took away his strength while working, and at night sleep was taken from his eyes by the cold. He suffered!!!
Someone is working hard like that today, and it is not a good way to work because it will have an impact on your life later on.
In the 20 years Jacob worked hard for Laban, it was not recorded that he prayed or worshiped God. He was very busy and got nothing in the end from the person he served. Read Gen 31!
Let me ask you a question-how much is your pension? Can you live on it after retirement?
It’s good to spend most of your time at work, BUT your work cannot make you rich. The Blessing of God makes rich, and Christ died so the Blessing can come on you!
Hmm, Jacob was not set free until he prayed all night and saw God face to face! Gen 32:39. That night he got the Blessing!!!
He worked hard for 20 years without the blessing!
What he got in 20 years, Isaac got it in 1 year because the Blessing was on him!
Certain things will not happen until you say EFFECTIVE and FERVENT PRAYERS.
Story 2:
Isaac did not have children for 20 years until he “prayed hard” Gen 25:20-26.
If he didn’t, he probably would have had his first child at the same age as his father (100).
Your decision today will have an impact on the next 20 years of your life!
Why wait for another 20 years before you make a change?
You have something to make a change – PRAYER!!!
